Navi Mumbai airport, opening on September 30, will have fully digital operations from day one. Passengers may soon be able to pre-book security check slots, similar to pre-booking lounge access, as part of Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (AAHL)’s digital strategy.

Digital Technology to Improve Travel
AAHL aims to make travel smoother, reduce queues, and improve airport efficiency across its eight airports. Last year, it launched aviio, a platform that shares real-time operational data with airlines, security forces, and immigration to handle gate changes and other issues.
Managing Crowds
Video and data analytics will monitor queues at terminals and kerbside areas. Tokenization trials are underway, and data will be shared with airlines to manage congestion. The group is also working on automated bag drop for Digital Yatra passengers and faster aircraft turnaround.
Customer Contact Centre
AAHL will launch a single contact centre for all airports, including Navi Mumbai. It will support multiple languages and link to social media for faster grievance resolution.
Digital Infrastructure
Airport staff will access entry passes and permits through an app. AAHL’s “Airport in a Box” model uses plug-and-play technology, making it easy to expand capacity and integrate new airports digitally.
Preparing for the Future
With air traffic growing and passengers becoming more tech-savvy, AAHL is using technology to make airports faster, smarter, and more convenient, including pre-booked security slots and automated services.
