Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has delivered its first G800, now officially the longest range business jet in the world. Certified by the FAA and EASA on April 16, 2025, the aircraft was completed at Gulfstream’s Appleton, Wisconsin facility, marking a major milestone for the company’s next-generation fleet.
The G800 offers a maximum range of 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 km) at Mach 0.85, allowing for ultra-long, nonstop intercontinental travel. It also achieved 7,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.90 and 8,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.87, with a top speed of Mach 0.935, pushing the boundaries of what a business jet can do.
Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, praised the G800 team for maintaining high program maturity, similar to the success of the earlier G700 model. The first delivery represents not just a technological achievement, but a new chapter in elite aviation.
The G800 isn’t just fast, it’s also designed for comfort and wellness. With a cabin altitude of just 2,840 feet while cruising at 41,000 feet, passengers experience significantly reduced fatigue. The jet also includes 100% fresh air circulation, plasma ionization purification, and 16 panoramic oval windows. Interior configurations support up to four living areas or three with a dedicated crew compartment, offering bespoke luxury for long-haul travelers.
The jet has already been recognized for its excellence, winning the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award for Private Jet Design, thanks to its cabin innovation and passenger-centric features.
The G800 joins Gulfstream’s evolving fleet of next-gen aircraft, including the G400, G500, G600, G700, and the super-midsize G280, all supported by the company’s robust global Customer Support network.
The Appleton site played a key role in delivering the G800. It includes large-cabin completions, a high-capacity custom paint hangar, and a newly modernized Customer Support center, all reflecting Gulfstream’s ongoing investments in quality and efficiency.
With more than 3,300 Gulfstream aircraft in service worldwide, the company, backed by General Dynamics, is investing in future aviation through research, development, and expanded global service capabilities
