American electric vehicle maker Tesla is ramping up its India plans, with a focus on expanding its supercharging network in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bangalore as it prepares to begin deliveries in the country by September 2025.
New Experience Centre and Charging Station in Delhi
Tesla on Monday opened its second India experience centre at Aerocity in New Delhi, alongside the city’s first Tesla Charging Station. The company plans to add superchargers in Gurugram and Noida, as well as another in Saket, according to Isabel Fan, Tesla’s Regional Director for South East Asia.

Mumbai and Bangalore in Focus
Delhi and Mumbai remain top priorities for Tesla. In Mumbai, the company plans supercharging stations in Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, adding to the existing site at Bandra Kurla Complex. Bangalore is also on Tesla’s radar for upcoming infrastructure expansion.
First Steps into the Indian Market
Tesla made its India debut last month with its first experience centre in Mumbai and the launch of its Model Y, priced from ₹59.89 lakh. Fan emphasised that the company will only announce plans it can deliver in the near term.
Service Network Coming Soon
Alongside superchargers, Tesla will soon introduce mobile servicing, remote diagnostics, service centres, and Tesla Approved Collision Centres in India to support customers after deliveries begin.
