Quick-commerce startup Zepto has stepped into the online pharmacy space with a promise to deliver medicines in just 10 minutes. The announcement came from co-founder and CEO Aadit Palicha on LinkedIn.
Initial Rollout in Four Major Cities
The new service, named Zepto Pharmacy, is now available in select parts of Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Palicha revealed that the company spent the past 12 months testing and refining the model before going public. He stressed that maintaining high operational standards will take priority over rapid expansion.

Taking on Established Players
With this move, Zepto is entering a competitive market currently led by Tata 1MG, PharmEasy, Apollo Pharmacy, and Wellness Forever. The Indian online pharmacy sector was valued at $3.18 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow to $12.71 billion by 2033, according to IMARC.
Focus on Customer Impact
“If executed well, this service can seriously improve the lives of millions of customers across the country,” Palicha said, highlighting Zepto’s ambition to blend speed with reliability in a sector where accuracy and trust are critical.
