According to CIAL’s official announcement dated June 9, 2025, the selected consultant will have a 12-week period to complete the assignment, which includes assessing the feasibility and drafting a conceptual master plan for the proposed tech park.

Eligibility Criteria for Bidders
To be considered, applicants must have a minimum of five years’ experience in consulting for large-scale projects such as IT infrastructure, commercial real estate, land development, or aerocity projects. Additionally, they must demonstrate a minimum average annual turnover of ₹50 crore over the past three financial years.

Kochi’s Growing IT Ecosystem Gets a Boost
Kochi is already known as a leading IT hub in Kerala, housing major zones like Infopark and SmartCity. These tech parks have been instrumental in attracting investments and driving the state’s IT revenue. The proposed IT/ITES park by CIAL is expected to further enhance this ecosystem by offering world-class infrastructure and sustainable workspaces.
The project is also expected to encourage economic development in the region, create new job opportunities, and strengthen Kochi’s position as one of India’s fastest-growing IT destinations.
Competitive Tender Signals Major Infrastructure Push
The 20-acre IT/ITES park project is a significant step in CIAL’s efforts to diversify and enhance its commercial footprint. With a clearly defined scope, eligibility conditions, and a strict timeline, the tender is expected to attract competitive bids from top-tier consultants.
The proposed tech park marks another milestone in transforming the area around Kochi airport into a modern aerotropolis that integrates aviation, business, and technology seamlessly.
