At the seventh meeting of the State-Level Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), Andhra Pradesh cleared 19 major projects with a total investment value of approximately ₹26,000 crore. These include a ₹8,010 crore renewable energy project in Kadapa by Adani Renewable Energy, and hydro energy investments worth ₹10,900 crore across several districts by Adani Hydro Energy Four and Adani Hydro Energy One. Collectively, Adani’s energy ventures are expected to generate 10,500 jobs in the state.
Cognizant Gets Land in Visakhapatnam for IT Campus
IT giant Cognizant Technology Solutions will invest nearly ₹1,583 crore to set up a major campus in Visakhapatnam. In support of the project, the Andhra Pradesh government has agreed to allocate 21.31 acres of land at Kapulauppada for a nominal lease of just 99 paise. The campus is projected to create 8,000 jobs over the coming years.

Other Key Investments Across Sectors
Several other notable projects were also approved. Reliance Consumer Products will invest ₹1,622 crore in Orvakal. Chinta Green Energy will bring in ₹2,323 crore in Kadapa, and textile major Raymond will invest ₹1,201 crore across multiple locations in the state. Overall, the 19 projects are expected to create around 30,270 jobs.
Naidu Pushes for Regional Balance and Youth Employment
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that industries investing in backward regions of Andhra Pradesh would receive additional incentives. He highlighted that development must be evenly spread across all regions and said that locals should be the primary beneficiaries of new job opportunities. Skill development for youth is a top priority under the state’s investment strategy.
Accountability, Infrastructure and MSME Support
Naidu directed that companies receiving land must begin operations within the specified timeline. He also instructed officials to ensure industrial investments are supported with adequate infrastructure. Plans are underway to establish MSME parks in each Assembly constituency to promote grassroots entrepreneurship through the ‘One Family – One Entrepreneur’ scheme.
Focus on Tourism, IT and Food Processing Sectors
The Chief Minister identified tourism, IT, and food processing as priority sectors for economic growth. He proposed new boat tourism projects near Papikondalu, luxury cruise services in Visakhapatnam, and encouraged partnerships with private companies in these areas.
Online Tracking and Frequent SIPB Meetings Ahead
Naidu has proposed that all data on approved projects, investments, and employment should be made available via an online portal, with industries mapped according to sector clusters. He also announced plans to increase SIPB meetings to at least two per month, targeting a total of 25 meetings each year to maintain momentum in industrial approvals.
