Star batter Tim David, who played a key role in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) successful IPL 2025 campaign, has now joined Preity Zinta’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) team, St Lucia Kings. He was picked by the franchise in the CPL 2025 draft held on Tuesday.
Preity Zinta’s Ownership Across Leagues
Preity Zinta, well-known Bollywood actor and entrepreneur, is a co-owner of both the IPL team Punjab Kings and CPL team St Lucia Kings. Her fellow co-owners include Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman, and Karan Paul.

St Lucia Kings Are CPL Title Holders
St Lucia Kings, co-owned by the same group behind Punjab Kings, are currently the reigning champions in the CPL. The addition of Tim David is expected to further strengthen their squad for the 2025 season.
Strong IPL Season Despite Injury
Although Tim David missed the IPL 2025 playoffs due to injury, he was part of RCB’s title-winning squad. He had an impactful season, scoring 187 runs in 12 matches at a powerful strike rate of 185.
Tim David’s shift to St Lucia Kings marks a new chapter in his T20 career, as he brings his explosive batting style to a title-defending CPL side backed by familiar cricket business faces.
