Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently spoke about how he fits sleep into his packed schedule. He said that even with the pressures of running a major tech company, he tries to get around six hours of sleep every night. “Of course, sleep is important,” he said, adding that six hours is his usual target. He admitted it’s not always perfect, but he generally manages to stay close to that goal.

A Night Owl’s Routine
Pichai described himself as someone who works late into the night. He said, “I’ve always been a late-night person,” explaining that he often gets things done toward the end of the day. This helps him balance his tasks without completely missing out on rest.

Taking Care of Health in a Demanding Job
By sharing his routine, Pichai reminded people that even in high-pressure jobs, rest should not be ignored. Getting enough sleep helps him stay focused and manage stress. His approach shows that it’s possible to be busy and still take care of your health with small, steady habits.

A Simple But Important Message
While many leaders often talk about hard work, Pichai’s comments show that taking care of yourself matters too. Even something as basic as getting enough sleep can make a big difference in handling big responsibilities.
