Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has introduced the exclusive Range Rover SV Masāra Edition in India, priced at Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom). This special edition model is limited to just 12 units, making it one of the rarest Range Rovers available in the country. The SV Masāra Edition follows the earlier India-specific limited edition, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition, launched earlier this year.
Meaning Behind the Name ‘Masāra’
The name ‘Masāra’ is inspired by Sanskrit and reflects the rare sapphires found in the Himalayan region. This connection to heritage and nature is mirrored in the design and color themes of the vehicle, blending luxury with cultural significance.

Exterior Design and Styling
The SV Masāra Edition stands out with a Satin Blue exterior wrapped in a unique finish that blends silver chrome with warm Corinthian Bronze tones. This dual-tone treatment extends to the roof, mirror caps, and even the Range Rover lettering on the bonnet and tailgate, all finished in bronze. These cosmetic upgrades give the SUV a distinct and sophisticated appearance compared to the standard model.
Luxurious and Bespoke Interiors
Inside, the cabin continues the dual-tone theme with a mix of Liberty Blue and Perlino leather. The front seats feature deep blue leather while the rear seats are upholstered in beige, creating a sharp contrast between the two rows. This theme flows across the dashboard, enhancing the refined look of the interior. The Masāra Edition is designed as a four-seater and includes premium features like fully reclinable seats, powered club tables, deployable cup holders, and a refrigerated compartment with SV etched glassware.
Additional bespoke touches include exclusive wheels, custom paintwork, embroidered seats, personalized scatter cushions, and SV Bespoke-branded tread plates showing ‘Masāra Edition’ and ‘1 of 12’, highlighting its exclusivity.
Technology and Safety Features
The vehicle is equipped with modern conveniences including a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, four-zone climate control, Meridian premium sound system, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and powered tailgate. For safety, it offers multiple airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera system, and advanced driver assistance systems.
Powertrain and Performance
Mechanically, the SV Masāra Edition shares its powertrain with the regular Range Rover. It is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 turbocharged petrol engine that produces 608 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels, ensuring strong performance and smooth driving dynamics.
