Global HRtech company Rippling has strengthened its footprint in India by launching a second office in Bengaluru. This expansion follows a recent $450 million Series G funding round that valued the company at $16.8 billion.
Workforce Growth Plans
Rippling aims to double its Indian workforce from 1,000 to 2,000 employees over the next three years. The new office, located at Embassy Tech Village, covers 100,000 square feet and will house teams from engineering, product, sales, and customer support.

Bengaluru as a Strategic Hub
Matt MacInnis, Chief Operating Officer at Rippling, emphasized Bengaluru’s key role in the company’s growth. The local team grew from 450 employees last year to over 1,000 today, with plans for further scaling. Important product development work is handled here, with increased autonomy planned for the team.
Unified HR, IT, and Finance Platform
Rippling offers a single platform that integrates payroll, expenses, benefits, and device management. This allows businesses worldwide to automate and manage the entire employee lifecycle efficiently from one system.
Founders and Global Presence
Founded in 2016 by Parker Conrad and Indian-origin entrepreneur Prasanna Shankar, Rippling operates offices in major cities including San Francisco, New York, London, and Bengaluru. Shankar left the company in 2020 and later founded the crypto startup 0xPPL in 2023.
Strengthening Leadership in India
Since entering the Indian market in 2017, Rippling has onboarded more than 20 former founders and entrepreneurs to build strong leadership. Key hires include Ajay Chandra, former Infibeam co-founder, and Nimish Bhonsale, ex-co-founder of Elda Health. In 2024, former Walmart executive Mrinal Chatterjee was appointed as the country head.
Revenue and Customer Base
Rippling has crossed $100 million in annual recurring revenue and supports over 20,000 customers. Its portfolio includes more than 20 products spanning HR, IT, and finance management. The company’s investors include notable names like Y Combinator, Goldman Sachs Growth, Coatue, and Founders Fund.
