In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, the Indian government has selected seven parliamentarians from various parties to lead all-party delegations to key international partners. The move follows the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, and the retaliatory Indian military action on May 7.

Leaders from Across the Political Spectrum
The selected leaders include a mix of ruling and opposition figures:
- Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP)
- Sanjay Jha (JDU-NDA)
- Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda (BJP)
- Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena Shinde faction)
- Shashi Tharoor (Congress)
- Kanimozhi (DMK)
- Supriya Sule (NCP-SP)
According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, these leaders are tasked with presenting India’s unified stance on terrorism to foreign governments, reflecting the national consensus and resolve against extremism.
Delegation Destinations and Agendas
Each group will consist of 6–7 MPs and visit 4–5 countries. Planned destinations include:
- Ravi Shankar Prasad’s group: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria
- Supriya Sule’s group: Oman, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt
- Sanjay Jha’s group: Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia
These countries were selected for their strategic importance and influence in global security discussions.
Additional Delegation Members
MPs from various parties such as Anurag Thakur, Asaduddin Owaisi, Manish Tewari, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Sasmit Patra will join the delegations. Notably, former Union Minister Salman Khurshid, though not currently an MP, will be part of the Jha-led team. Sudip Bandyopadhyay (TMC) declined participation due to health issues.
Unified International Messaging
The purpose of these missions is to communicate India’s post-Operation Sindoor position of zero tolerance towards terrorism. The government aims to reinforce this stance diplomatically through face-to-face engagement with global counterparts.
