Campa Cola, India’s iconic fizzy drink, is making its way into the Omani market after establishing a foothold in the UAE. This move also marks a significant milestone for Reliance Consumer Products, which acquired the Campa Cola brand in 2022.

Nostalgia for Indian Expats

For Indian expatriates in the Gulf, especially those of a certain age, Campa Cola remains a nostalgic favorite. Alongside ‘Thums Up,’ it was one of the drinks that gained popularity before Pepsi and Coca-Cola re-entered India in the 1990s.

A New Following Among Young Consumers

Since the Reliance acquisition, Campa Cola has managed to attract a new, younger audience. The brand’s revival has resonated with today’s youth, adding a fresh chapter to its legacy.

Reliance’s Vision for the Oman Market

Ketan Mody, COO of Reliance Consumer Products, highlighted the significance of this expansion. He described Campa Cola not just as a drink but as a revival of a legacy and a reflection of the youthful spirit of India today. Mody expressed excitement about the brand’s potential for long-term growth in Oman and the region.

Campa Portfolio in Oman

Initially, the Campa portfolio in Oman will feature Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, and Campa Orange, aiming to offer a diverse range of flavors to the market.
