Mirza Abbas Ali, known for his roles in 1990s Tamil films, once shared the screen with stars like Aishwarya Rai, Mammootty, and Tabu. Despite early success, his film career declined after a series of flops, leading to financial trouble and eventually bankruptcy.

Life in New Zealand After Bankruptcy

Following his financial downfall, Abbas moved to New Zealand, where he took up jobs like toilet cleaning, taxi driving, and mechanical work to make ends meet. He currently lives a quiet life there, away from the film spotlight.

Career Highlights in South Indian Cinema

Abbas made his acting debut in the hit Tamil film Kadhal Desam and later appeared in well-known movies such as Kandukondain Kandukondain, Padayappa, Priya O Priya, and Suyamvaram. He was also featured in Hey Ram alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan. Before entering films, he began his career as a model in 1995.

Personal Background and Career Shift

Born on May 21, 1975, in West Bengal, Abbas initially pursued modelling despite his father’s wish for him to become an engineer. His song “Chui Mui Si Tum Lagti Ho” with Preeti Jhangiani also gained popularity. He spent nearly two decades in the film industry before stepping away.
