OneTAC (Tourism, Art, and Culture) is a new decentralised digital platform designed to integrate and streamline India’s tourism, art, and culture sectors. Showcased at Startup Mahakumbh in Delhi, the initiative focuses on accessibility, digital engagement, and community empowerment.

Key Objectives

  • Digitally connect stakeholders in the TAC (tourism, art, culture) ecosystem
  • Improve access and discoverability of cultural experiences
  • Support creators, entrepreneurs, and local communities
  • Preserve cultural heritage through technology

Leadership and Stakeholder Support
The initiative was presented by Mugdha Sinha, IAS (Ministry of Tourism) and Prashanth Prakash (Accel India), alongside over 50 stakeholders. The platform is built on open protocols and decentralised infrastructure, encouraging a community-led model of growth.

Governance and Financial Support
OneTAC will be guided by a newly established Steering Council responsible for strategic alignment with national goals. It will be supported by the OneTAC Impact Fund, which will offer financial backing through CSR funds, grants, and equity investments for startups and creators.

State-Level Backing and Pilot Launch
The Karnataka government has officially backed OneTAC, listing it in the 2025 state budget as a core initiative for cultural innovation. A Bengaluru-based pilot is scheduled for launch by August 2025, serving as a testbed for digital discovery, verification, and transactions in the TAC sector.Vision for the Sector
According to Prashanth Prakash, OneTAC’s integrated model—with government support, strategic governance, and a robust financial mechanism—will play a crucial role in digitally advancing India’s tourism, art, and culture space. The initiative is expected to drive entrepreneurship, inclusion, and sector-wide innovation.
