Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, has witnessed a ₹1 lakh crore increase in his wealth, according to the 2025 Hurun Global Rich List. This makes him the individual with the highest wealth growth in India during this period. With a 13% rise in net worth, Adani has climbed to the second position among India’s richest individuals, now holding a total wealth of ₹8.4 lakh crore. Mukesh Ambani remains the wealthiest Indian, with assets worth ₹8.6 lakh crore.

A notable highlight of the latest Hurun list is Roshni Nadar from HCL, who has entered the top ten richest Indians for the first time. Her father, Shiv Nadar, had earlier transferred 45% of his company shares to her, significantly boosting her net worth. Currently holding ₹3.5 lakh crore in wealth, Roshni is the third richest person in India and the fifth wealthiest woman in the world. She is also the first Indian woman to make it to the global top ten list of richest women.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk continues to be the world’s richest person, with a fortune of $420 billion (approximately ₹36 lakh crore). The growth of Tesla and his ventures in the space industry have played a crucial role in his increasing wealth. Other top global billionaires include Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, and legendary investor Warren Buffett.
