Grow Indigo Supports Green Farming

Grow Indigo is an agritech startup dedicated to revolutionizing Indian agriculture by promoting eco-friendly and efficient farming practices. The company focuses on regenerative techniques like direct-seeded rice and no-tillage farming, which improve soil health, reduce erosion, and enhance water efficiency. These methods not only benefit the environment but also reduce labor-intensive processes, particularly helping women farmers.

Expanding Sustainable Agriculture

Grow Indigo has made a significant impact, enrolling over 2.5 million acres of smallholder farmland across seven states. The company actively collaborates with food and fashion brands to promote sustainable sourcing and reduce carbon footprints in supply chains.

Widespread Reach and Farmer Support

Operating in 16 states, Grow Indigo has built an extensive network of over 2,000 distribution partners and a 600-member on-ground team. Their comprehensive approach provides farmers with solutions from seed treatment to harvest, ensuring sustainable agricultural growth.

Funding to Drive Further Growth

To accelerate its mission, Grow Indigo has secured $10 million in funding from British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution. These funds will help expand its sustainability programs, furthering its vision of a greener and more resilient agricultural sector in India.
