Jammu and Kashmir’s much-awaited third Vande Bharat Express is set to launch after Holi 2025, connecting Jammu and Srinagar. This modern semi-high-speed train will be operated and maintained by the Northern Railway (NR) zone.

Launch and Operational Plans
The Ministry of Railways and Northern Railway are currently focused on managing ticket sales and handling the surge of passengers due to the festive season. Holi in 2025 falls on March 14 (Friday), and the train is expected to launch soon after. While reports suggest a March launch, the Railway Board (RB) will make the final decision.
Train Route and Services
The new Vande Bharat Express will run between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) and Srinagar, providing a faster and more efficient travel option for passengers commuting between Jammu and Kashmir.

Expected Ticket Prices
The fare details have not been officially announced, but estimates suggest:
- AC Chair Car: ₹1500-₹1600
- Executive Chair Car: ₹2200-₹2500
These prices will include reservation and superfast charges.
Train Capacity and Coaches
The Jammu to Srinagar Vande Bharat Express will consist of:
- 1 Executive Class Coach
- 7 AC Chair Cars
- Total passenger capacity: 530
This new train is expected to enhance connectivity and improve travel convenience in the region.
