Kerala and the Center join hands to boost investments, driving growth in tourism

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has emphasized the need for collaboration between the central and state governments to attract more investments to Kerala. Speaking at the Invest Kerala Global Investors Summit in Kochi, he highlighted the state’s rapid progress in the tourism and construction sectors. He also assured Kerala of the central government’s full support in its industrial and economic development.

India’s Growth Journey and State Cooperation

Piyush Goyal reiterated that India is on its way to becoming a global power, and the cooperation of every state is crucial for this progress. He stressed that coordinated efforts at both state and national levels would accelerate economic growth and development.

Recognition for Kerala’s Leadership

The Union Minister praised Kerala’s Industries Minister P. Rajeeve, recalling their time together in the Rajya Sabha. He acknowledged Rajeeve as one of the finest parliamentarians. The two-day summit in Kochi, inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has brought together top business leaders and investors from various countries.

A Global Platform for Investments

The summit aims to attract more investments to Kerala, with participation from numerous industry leaders and investors from 26 countries. The event serves as a key platform to showcase Kerala’s business potential and strengthen its economic ties with global markets.
