Google has unveiled Ananta, its newest and one of the largest campuses in the world, in Bengaluru’s Mahadevapura. The name, derived from Sanskrit, means “limitless,” reflecting Google’s expanding footprint in India.

Massive Infrastructure and Employee Base
Spanning 1.6 million square feet, the Ananta campus can accommodate over 5,000 employees. It will house key teams working on Android, Search, Pay, Cloud, Maps, Play, and DeepMind. India remains one of Google’s largest employee hubs outside the US.

Designed for Collaboration and Accessibility
The office features open workspaces designed to foster collaboration, with smaller nooks and booths for focused work. It includes Sabha, a central gathering space for meetings and discussions. Tactile flooring aids visually impaired employees, enhancing accessibility.

Sustainability and Smart Design
Ananta incorporates eco-friendly elements, including rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, and one of India’s largest electro-chromic glass facades for energy efficiency. Walking and jogging paths add to employee wellness.

Strengthening Google’s India Commitment
With offices in Gurugram, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune, Google continues to deepen its investment in India. Ananta stands as a symbol of its long-term commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability in the country.
