Hyderabad-based startup TakeMe2Space, founded by Ronak Kumar Samantray, is set to launch India’s first AI-driven space laboratory. The company aims to democratize satellite access, allowing students, researchers, and businesses to interact with satellites in real time.

Unlike traditional satellite programs limited to governments and elite institutions, TakeMe2Space wants anyone, regardless of location, to conduct space experiments. The company recently collaborated with ISRO to validate its approach and plans to launch two operational satellites this year.

AI in Space Computing

TakeMe2Space is integrating AI to process satellite data in orbit, reducing the need for Earth-based analysis. This enables real-time image enhancements, object detection, and smarter data collection. The startup has already demonstrated AI-powered motion blur reduction for clearer satellite images.

Hands-On Space Learning

Schools and universities can subscribe to TakeMe2Space’s AI lab, allowing students to upload code and interact with real satellites—just like using a cloud computing service. While the education sector has shown interest, most early adopters come from GIS and data analytics industries.

Security and Ethical Safeguards

To prevent misuse, the satellites lack propulsion systems and limit image resolution to protect privacy. Strict encryption ensures customer data remains secure.

The Future of Space Computing

TakeMe2Space envisions moving heavy AI computing into space to reduce Earth’s energy consumption. By building orbital data centers, the company aims to revolutionize satellite usage and space-based computing, making space technology accessible for private businesses and beyond.
