Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is establishing a 37-acre campus at Kochi’s Kinfra Electronics Manufacturing Cluster with an investment of ₹690 crore. The facility will focus on electronics R&D and IT/ITeS services, generating around 10,000 jobs. This highlights Kochi’s growing importance in technology and manufacturing.

Expanding Workforce and Infrastructure

TCS is also looking at office space in Kochi’s InfoPark for 5,000 employees. The Kerala government is assisting in this expansion while also working on increasing InfoPark’s capacity by 500 acres and growing the Kozhikode Cyberpark.

Kochi Attracting Global Tech Giants

Kochi’s tech ecosystem is thriving, with IBM recently launching its largest GenAI Innovation Centre at InfoPark, creating over 5,000 jobs. The city has become one of IBM’s fastest-growing global campuses, reinforcing its status as a tech investment hub.

Government’s Push for Growth

The Kerala government is actively facilitating investments by allocating space across tech parks in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode. Industries Minister P Rajeeve emphasized the state’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment for technology and manufacturing.

Economic Boost for Kerala

TCS’s expansion will create high-skilled jobs and drive innovation, further strengthening Kerala’s position in India’s tech and manufacturing sectors. With ongoing infrastructure developments, Kochi is emerging as a major destination for global tech firms.
