The world is home to stunning megastructures, from towering skyscrapers to colossal buildings that leave us in awe of their design. When it comes to the tallest buildings, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai often comes to mind. But India also boasts its own iconic skyscraper that rivals global giants. Across the country, there are many towering structures, but the tallest building in India stands in Mumbai.

Palais Royale: India’s Sky-Touching Marvel

Palais Royale in Mumbai holds the title of India’s tallest building, often dubbed the ‘Burj Khalifa of India.’ Construction of this monumental structure began in 2007, drawing attention for its impressive architecture. The total cost of constructing Palais Royale is estimated to be around Rs 3,000 crore.

Height and Scale of Palais Royale

Reaching an astonishing 320 meters, Palais Royale has 88 floors, making it a standout feature of Mumbai’s skyline. The building was constructed on the former site of Shreeram Mills. Despite facing financial challenges that led to an auction, it was eventually acquired by Honest Shelter Private Limited, the new promoters of the project.

Price of Living in Palais Royale

In 2013, a flat in Palais Royale was priced at Rs 27 crore. Today, the cost of the most affordable flat in India’s tallest building is approximately Rs 40 crore. This steep price reflects the exclusivity and luxury of the residence within this towering architectural feat.
