Princess Mashael Bint Faisal Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has made history by becoming the first member from her country to join the Asian Yoga Sports Federation (AYSF). In addition to her groundbreaking role with AYSF, she will also serve as the president of the Women & Children’s Safeguarding Committee. This marks a significant step in her mission to promote the protection and empowerment of women and children in sports.

The Saudi Yoga Committee recently congratulated the princess on her appointment via a post on X (formerly Twitter), expressing their pride and wishing her success in advancing women and children’s roles in athletics and promoting safety and empowerment in the community.

Princess Mashael, a dedicated yogi with over 15 years of experience in practices like Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, and yoga therapy, has long been passionate about promoting wellness. Alongside her yoga expertise, she advocates for women and youth in sports. She is also the head of a sports NGO and has previously led women’s committees for both the Arab Cycling Federation and the Saudi Cycling Federation.
