The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi has announced that Nexus, the renowned business incubator at the American Center, is accepting applications for its 20th cohort. The nine-week training program will start on February 2, 2025, offering selected Indian startups a platform to enhance their business strategies and market readiness.
Comprehensive Training for Startups
The program will host 15 startups, providing expert training from Indian and American professionals. Participants will refine their value propositions, define target markets, gather market feedback, and set milestones to bring their products or technologies to market. Key topics like artificial intelligence’s impact on startups and the mental health of entrepreneurs will also be explored in this cohort.
Extended Support for Selected Startups
After completing the initial program, up to four companies will receive extended support for an additional eight months. These startups will gain access to Nexus’ facilities and networks, with expert guidance to expand their customer base, secure funding, and scale operations effectively.

Entrepreneurs can apply at www.startupnexus.in by January 5, 2025. Selected participants will be notified by January 17, 2025.
Key Partnerships for Advanced Training
The 20th cohort training is a collaboration between the U.S. Embassy, the Global Training and Development Institute (GTDI) at the University of Connecticut (UConn), and Daigle Labs at UConn’s School of Business. This partnership, funded by the U.S. Department of State, focuses on equipping participants with the tools and perspectives to build sustainable ventures while fostering economic and cultural ties between India and the U.S.

Since its inception in 2017, Nexus has supported 230 entrepreneurs through 19 cohorts. Collectively, these startups have raised over $90 million in external funding, showcasing the program’s success in nurturing innovative ventures in India.
