VK Mathews, Founder and Executive Chairman of IBS Group, shared insights during a conversation with Channeliam.com’s Nisha Krishnan. He highlighted the strategic importance of their newly inaugurated second campus at InfoPark, Kochi. Mathews emphasized that Kochi has been a significant hub for IBS since 2005, and this expansion aligns with their global growth strategy. The company currently employs over 5,000 professionals across 60 locations in 40+ countries, showcasing a diverse workforce with employees from 45 nationalities.

Technological Trends in Hospitality and Aviation
Discussing advancements in the hospitality and aviation sectors, Mathews identified three key areas driving innovation:

  1. Operational Excellence: Emphasis on using top-tier systems to streamline processes such as flight operations, crew management, and disruption handling.
  2. Digital Transformation: Redefining customer interactions by delivering personalized products and services directly, bypassing intermediaries.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Companies are prioritizing direct engagement with end-users, leveraging technology to build stronger relationships and extract maximum value.

Post-COVID Tech Acceleration
Mathews noted that the pandemic accelerated technology adoption, especially in sectors like travel and hospitality. He underscored the importance of “brilliant basics,” such as operational efficiency, and the growing focus on digital connectivity to meet consumer demands. Additionally, fostering deeper customer relationships has become a game-changer, ensuring companies maintain a competitive edge.

Vision 2040 and IBS’s Contribution
When asked about IBS Group’s role in contributing to India’s Vision 2040, Mathews highlighted their significant impact in creating high-quality employment opportunities. IBS stands out as a leading vertical SaaS software company originating from India and serving global markets.

With a strong focus on innovation, strategic expansion, and customer-centricity, IBS Group continues to shape the future of technology across industries.
