Around 100 innovative startups are showcasing their breakthrough technologies at the Huddle Global 2024 expo, which kicked off today at the picturesque seaside location of Kovalam. The event, part of India’s flagship startup festival organized by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), brings together startups from diverse sectors, including Edutech, Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR), Fintech, Life Sciences, SpaceTech, HealthTech, Blockchain, IoT, eGovernance, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning.
The expo features a wide array of technological marvels, from humanoid robots and autonomous drones to medical devices and cost-saving technology products. Startups from across the globe are displaying their innovations in separate zones for EmergingTech and DeepTech. These zones serve as platforms for knowledge-sharing, student innovations, and practical experiences that demonstrate the future potential of various technologies.
The Emerging Technology Zone highlights advancements in key sectors such as energy, healthcare, digital media and entertainment, food and agriculture, and space. Notably, startups in AR/VR are drawing significant attention with their unique, immersive experiences.
One of the event’s key highlights is the DeepTech Zone, which includes knowledge sessions, a startup expo, and presentations by student innovators. This zone offers visitors the chance to engage with the latest breakthroughs in technology, providing a glimpse into the future of industries such as biomedical waste treatment, AI-based educational platforms, and eco-friendly construction materials.
The expo also features displays from prominent financial institutions, including the State Bank of India, as well as government research and development organizations. Kerala Digital University, KSIDC, the Institute of Kerala State Government’s Patent Information Center, and C-DAC, showcasing cutting-edge chip technologies, are also part of the event.
Among the notable startups is Genrobotics, renowned for its innovative solutions in robotics for waste management, along with robotics companies like Toboid, Automate, Freeman Robotics, and Inker Robotics. The expo also highlights the work of women entrepreneurs and researchers, with a dedicated stall featuring their groundbreaking products.
Other exhibitors are presenting a range of sustainability solutions, including AI-powered assessment platforms, mobile septage treatment units, food waste upcycling, and multi-purpose drones for agriculture. Additionally, startups showcasing innovations in quantum-safe digital trust platforms, automated invoice processing, and advanced cargo surveillance drones are also gaining attention.
One of the standout attractions at the event is the ISRO stall, where visitors can explore models of India’s prestigious space missions, Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan.
The Huddle Global 2024 expo serves as an important platform for startup entrepreneurs to interact with prominent investors from technology and industrial sectors, fostering new opportunities for collaboration and investment in the innovation ecosystem.
