Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced a major development after a meeting with Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran on Monday. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between the state and the Tata Group, with TCS planning to establish an office in Visakhapatnam, set to generate around 10,000 jobs.

During the meeting, CM Naidu highlighted the significant contributions of the late Ratan Tata to India’s industrial landscape and to the state’s growth. He praised Tata Group’s continued impact on the state’s development, especially through its ongoing and upcoming projects.

The discussions also touched on several important projects by Tata Group in Andhra Pradesh. TCS’s new IT development centre in Visakhapatnam is expected to create thousands of jobs. Tata-owned Indian Hotels is expanding its presence with plans to establish 20 new hotels across the state, including the Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, SeleQtions, and Ginger brands, along with a new convention centre.
Sustainability and Renewable Energy Investments
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Tata Power is exploring a ₹40,000 crore investment in renewable energy projects in the state. This includes the development of over 5 GW in solar and wind energy.
Healthcare and Innovation Partnerships
In healthcare, the state and Tata Group are exploring collaborations in deep tech and AI to enhance primary healthcare services. The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub will further support entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh, aligning with the state’s initiative to foster innovation through its “One Family, One Entrepreneur” vision.
