Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has introduced a special edition of its flagship luxury SUV, the Range Rover, named the Range Rover SV Ranthambore. Priced at ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom), this edition is based on the long wheelbase model available in India and has been crafted by the brand’s bespoke SV division.
A Unique Tribute to Indian Wildlife
The Range Rover SV Ranthambore is the first limited edition model specifically designed for the Indian market, with only 12 units set to be produced. In a commendable initiative, JLR will donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, supporting efforts in tiger and wildlife conservation.
Exterior Design Inspired by Nature
The design of the SV Ranthambore draws inspiration from the majestic tiger found in Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park. Its distinct exterior features a bespoke deep black body colour with a shimmering red effect, reflecting the tiger’s vibrant hues. Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents mimic the stripes of a tiger, while these colour elements extend to the roof, mirror caps, and the 23-inch forged style dark grey wheels featuring Corinthian Bronze inserts.
Luxurious Interiors and Features
Inside, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore showcases SV Bespoke luxury with a blend of Caraway and light Perlino semi-aniline leather adorned with contrast stitching. The artistic embroidery on the seats is inspired by the dynamic patterns of tiger stripes. The cabin also features custom scatter cushions, noble chrome jewellery finishes, light linear wenge veneers, and white ceramic dials, enhancing its luxurious appeal.
The four-seat layout includes fully reclinable seats, a powered club table, deployable cupholders, and a refrigerated compartment with SV-etched glassware. Exclusive design elements such as bespoke themes, embroidered seats, and branded tread plates marked “Ranthambore Edition” and “1 of 12” highlight its unique character.
Performance Powertrain
Under the hood, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 395 bhp and 550 Nm of peak torque. This powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that provides all-wheel drive capabilities.
