Saudi Arabia has unveiled a major new initiative, “One Million Saudi in AI,” aimed at equipping one million citizens with artificial intelligence (AI) skills. The announcement was made by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Friday.
Initiative Launch
The initiative was officially launched by Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan and Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, President of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), during the third Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit 2024) held at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre in Riyadh. This national project is the largest of its kind in the Kingdom.
Goals and Objectives
The “One Million Saudi in AI” initiative is designed to empower one million Saudi men and women to engage with an AI-driven world. The program aims to build a brighter future by enhancing human capabilities through AI.
Training and Development
The initiative will provide comprehensive training on AI concepts, including its applications, ethical considerations, and practical skills. Participants will learn how to integrate AI into both business practices and daily life effectively and safely.
