JSW MG Motor India has launched the Windsor EV, an electric crossover utility vehicle (e-CUV) priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). This marks the first vehicle introduced under the partnership between JSW and MG Motor. Positioned between the Comet EV and the ZS EV, the Windsor EV blends features of a hatchback and an MPV, offering a versatile hybrid design.

The Windsor EV, based on the Wuling Cloud EV sold in China, boasts a range of advanced features aimed at enhancing user experience. These include:
- A 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity
- 360-degree surround camera
- Automatic climate control
- Ambient lighting
- Digital instrument cluster
- Panoramic sunroof
- Airline-style rear seats with a recline function
With dimensions of a wheelbase of 2,700mm, a width of 1,850mm, and a height of 1,677mm, the Windsor EV combines style and technology in an electric vehicle format.
Pricing and Availability
The starting price for the Windsor EV is Rs 9.99 lakh, excluding the cost of the battery. Customers will also need to pay Rs 3.50 per km for the battery rental module. Bookings for the vehicle are now open, with test drives scheduled to begin on September 25, 2024, and deliveries expected to start in October.
