India’s defence production has reached a historic high of approximately Rs 1.27 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2023-24. This surge, coupled with the success of the Make in India programme, underscores the country’s growing capabilities in the defence sector.

Zen Technologies’ Latest Product Launches

Zen Technologies, a prominent player in anti-drone technology and defence training solutions, has introduced several new products to the global defence market. In partnership with its subsidiary, AI Turing Technologies, these advancements mark a significant enhancement in their product lineup.

Introduction of Prahasta

Among the new offerings is Prahasta, an AI-powered robotic quadruped equipped with LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technology. Prahasta utilises reinforcement learning to generate real-time 3D terrain maps, improving mission planning, navigation, and threat assessment.

New Additions to the Defence Arsenal

Zen Technologies has also launched:

  • Hawkeye: An advanced anti-drone camera system.
  • Barbarik-URCWS: A remote-controlled weapon station touted as the world’s lightest, designed for precise targeting across a range of calibres (5.56 mm to 7.62 mm) for ground and naval applications.
  • Sthir Stab 640: A robust, stabilised sight intended for use with armoured vehicles, infantry combat vehicles (ICVs), and boats.

Impact on Autonomous Defence Operations

These new products represent a leap forward in autonomous defence technology. Zen Technologies’ Chairman and Managing Director, Ashok Atluri, emphasised that these innovations will elevate the integration of advanced robotics into combat and reconnaissance missions.

Market Performance

Following the launch of these products, Zen Technologies’ shares saw a notable increase, settling at Rs 1,362.00 per share on the BSE, reflecting a 5 percent rise from the previous close.

Zen Technologies’ latest advancements highlight the company’s commitment to expanding its range of cutting-edge technologies, aimed at enhancing defence operations and providing innovative solutions to both existing and potential clients.
