Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding was not only a grand affair but also an occasion marked by the Ambanis’ generosity towards their staff and media personnel. Following the main wedding events, the Ambanis extended their gratitude through special receptions and thoughtful gifts.
Shubh Vivah, Shubh Aashirwad, and Reception
The wedding festivities kicked off with the Shubh Vivah ceremony on July 12, followed by the Shubh Aashirwad on July 13, and concluded with a grand reception on July 14 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.
Special Reception for Staff
To honour their household staff, the Ambanis will host a special reception on July 15 at the Jio World Centre. This reception will include over a thousand staff members and their families, recognizing the hard work and dedication of those who contributed to the success of the wedding celebrations. The staff includes individuals from housekeeping, security, maintenance, secretarial, and operations teams across various Ambani residences such as Antilia, Sea Wind, and Karuna Sindhu.
Thoughtful Gifts
In addition to the reception, the Ambanis sent a formal gift box to their Reliance employees before the wedding. The gift box included a letter of thanks from Nita and Mukesh Ambani, four packets of Indian savouries, a box of sweets, and a silver coin. This gesture showcased the Ambanis’ appreciation for their employees’ support and contributions.
Special Reception for Media
Nita Ambani also acknowledged the efforts of media personnel during the wedding festivities. At the red carpet for Anant and Radhika’s reception, she thanked the photographers for their hard work and support. As a token of appreciation, she invited all photographers and their families to a special reception on July 15.
Community Outreach
Further extending their generosity, the Ambanis hosted a mass wedding or “Samuh Vivah” in Palghar near Mumbai for over 50 underprivileged couples, providing them with gifts including gold ornaments and groceries for a year. They also hosted a pre-wedding celebration in their hometown Jamnagar, Gujarat, followed by a lavish dinner and party for their extended Reliance family.
