Every day, over 35,000 popsicles, juices, and water bottles are distributed free of charge across Dubai through the ‘Al Freej Fridge’ campaign. Operated by dedicated volunteers, five ice cream trucks traverse neighborhoods in two shifts—morning and evening—covering 10 areas daily.

A Cool Respite in the Heat
Each truck carries approximately 7,000 ice cream sticks, juices, water, and snacks, offering much-needed relief to outdoor workers including construction laborers, cab drivers, and delivery riders enduring the scorching summer temperatures.
Community Impact and Generosity
“The Al Freej Fridge truck is a big relief for us working in intense heat,” shared Salam Mustafa, a construction worker benefiting from the initiative in Muhaisnah. “It’s absolutely free, saving me up to Dh300 monthly.”
Spread of Joy and Community Support
Volunteers begin their day at 8 AM, loading trucks in Muhaisnah before heading to designated areas. By 9 AM, they distribute cold treats and drinks, with over 500,000 pieces delivered in just two weeks, aiming to reach 7 million by August 23.

Heartwarming Responses and Gratitude
“We feel valued and cared for, which motivates us to continue working hard despite the heat,” said Taufeeq, a construction worker at Al Khawaneej. The campaign not only cools down workers but also fosters community spirit and appreciation.
Partnership for Positive Impact
Launched with support from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, Furjan Dubai collaborates with the UAE Water Aid Foundation and UAE Food Bank to extend humanitarian aid and community solidarity.

Future Prospects and Continued Outreach
