Starting his career at Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd (IDPL), Reddy went on to establish Uniloids and Standard Organics Ltd before founding Dr Reddy’s Labs in 1984. Initially focused on exporting generic drugs, the company later pivoted towards pioneering research and development in drug discovery.

Recognized with the Padma Bhushan in 2011, Reddy’s leadership at DRL expanded its global footprint through strategic patents and collaborations with international pharmaceutical giants.
