Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive manufacturer, has introduced the Altroz Racer, a high-performance version of its premium hatchback. This new model is set to elevate the driving experience with its powerful 1.2 L Turbo petrol engine and race-inspired aesthetics.
The Altroz Racer marks a significant upgrade in the Altroz lineup, boasting an impressive power output of 120 Ps at 5500 rpm and torque of 170 Nm ranging from 1750 to 4000 rpm. Equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the Racer is designed for both city maneuverability and exhilarating highway performance. Tata Motors has tailored the Racer to appeal to enthusiasts seeking a blend of sporty design and robust driving dynamics.
Visually, the Altroz Racer stands out with its race car-inspired exterior and interior. It will be available in three distinct colors: Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White, catering to the tastes of modern, style-conscious drivers. Inside, the vehicle is packed with premium features including a 360-degree camera, a 26.03 cm infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and six airbags, all standard in the Racer variant.
The Racer will top the Altroz range and be offered in three variants: R1, R2, and R3. This strategic expansion of the Altroz lineup also includes the introduction of two new variants, the XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX, and an upgraded XZ+OS variant. These additions provide customers with a variety of powertrain options, including petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel, and CNG.

Since its debut, the Tata Altroz has garnered a strong customer base with over 2.5 lakh satisfied owners. The hatchback has set industry benchmarks, being the first in India to earn a 5-Star Global NCAP Safety rating and pioneering twin-cylinder technology in CNG models.
