India’s Central Role:
As Abu Dhabi prepares to unveil its Saadiyat Cultural District, India stands as a central focus, symbolising the district’s mission to embrace diverse cultures while remaining grounded in its heritage. The district aims to facilitate dialogue, challenge Western perspectives on art, and foster cultural exchange on a global scale.
Operational Institutions:
Three cultural institutions are already operational, including the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi renowned for its architectural grandeur. Berklee Abu Dhabi offers music and performing arts programs, while Manarat Al Saadiyat hosts various cultural events. The remaining venues, including the Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, are nearing completion and are set to open by 2025.
