Indian nationals eligible for a 14-day pre-approved visa-on-arrival in Dubai must now apply online for the service. This update applies exclusively to Indian passport holders who possess a valid six-month US visa, US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency visa. The visa, which can be extended once for an additional 14 days, aims to streamline the entry process and enhance convenience for travellers.

The Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) mandates that passengers meet specific requirements to avail of this service. Applicants need a valid passport, travel documents, a permanent residence card from the USA or UK, and a personal photo.

To apply online for the pre-approved visa-on-arrival, follow these steps:

·        Log in to the GDRFA website

·        Fill in the required details

·        Pay a fee of Dirham 253

After approval, the applicant will receive an email notification. The visa process typically completes within 48 hours.

Starting February 1, Emirates Airlines introduced a pre-approved visa-on-arrival facility for select Indian passport holders who have booked their travel with the airline. This service, fulfilled by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), issues a 14-day single-entry visa. The initiative allows Emirates customers to bypass queues upon arrival in Dubai, making the travel experience smoother and more efficient.
