The educational landscape of Bihar, once renowned for its historical universities like Nalanda and Vikramshila, is witnessing a remarkable resurgence. While the state has been home to prestigious institutions such as Science College and BN College, the quality of higher education dwindled over time. However, recent years have seen a significant turnaround, with private universities stepping up to restore Bihar’s reputation as an educational powerhouse.
One of the leading examples of this revival is Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU) based in Sasaram. Graduates from GNSU are now holding esteemed positions in multinational companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, and HDFC Bank. Shubham Kumar, a Deputy Manager at HDFC Bank, is another successful alumnus of GNSU. GNSU has also forged partnerships with global institutions to bring cutting-edge research facilities to Bihar, as evidenced by numerous Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) they have signed.
Trivikram Narayan Singh, the Managing Director of Gopal Narayan Singh University, reflects on Bihar’s storied past: “Bihar was once a global educational hub.
