Infosys, a prominent Indian multinational corporation specializing in information technology services and consulting, has announced openings for internships and lateral job positions, offering exclusive opportunities for students and experienced professionals alike.
The company’s Global Internship Program, known as InStep, has garnered significant acclaim, consistently securing the top spot globally in internships, according to Vault Inc., for five consecutive years. Each year, Infosys selects over 250 outstanding students from leading universities worldwide to participate in this prestigious program.
The InStep internship, scheduled for the summer of 2024, offers a duration of 8-10 weeks and provides participants with first-hand experience on real-time projects at Infosys’ Global Headquarters in Bangalore, India. Interns will receive a stipend ranging from GBP 550 to 730, depending on qualifications, and Infosys will cover all expenses related to travel, visa, and accommodation.
Students graduating before June 2026 and eager to pursue a career with Infosys are encouraged to apply. Throughout the internship, each student will work closely with a mentor from the top echelons of Infosys, as well as their respective teams, gaining valuable insights and mentorship.
For those with backgrounds in business and management, the internship offers opportunities to engage in projects spanning areas such as Business Case Development, Business Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Consulting, and Strategy.
In addition to internships, Infosys is also seeking applications from experienced professionals across the country. Interested individuals can explore job opportunities by visiting the company’s LinkedIn page or applying through the job portal.
However, it’s noteworthy that Infosys experienced a decrease in hiring during Q4FY24 and FY24 compared to previous quarters and fiscal years, indicative of shifting trends. Despite a 1.4% year-on-year revenue increase in constant currency, the company witnessed a reduction in headcount by 25,994 employees by the end of Fiscal Year 24, down from 343,234 on March 31, 2023.
With the announcement of internships and lateral job openings, Infosys continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering talent and providing opportunities for growth and development in the dynamic landscape of information technology and consulting.
