Many Indian billionaires have built their vast business empires with the help of their families, entrusting their children with key roles to expand their enterprises. One such individual is Vanisha Mittal Bhatia, who plays an integral part in her father’s billion-dollar business empire. Vanisha is the daughter of Lakshmi Mittal, the renowned Indian steel magnate and Executive Chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel and mining company by output. With a staggering revenue of around USD 68 billion, ArcelorMittal is headquartered in Luxembourg City and operates on a global scale.

Vanisha Mittal Bhatia serves as a non-independent Director of ArcelorMittal, bringing her expertise and vision to the company. Alongside her, her brother, Aditya Mittal, also holds a significant position within the company as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director. Together, they continue to uphold the legacy of their father and drive ArcelorMittal’s success forward.

In addition to her role at ArcelorMittal, Vanisha has been actively involved in Aperam since 2011, where she holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer. Her keen strategic insights contribute to the company’s growth and development in the competitive steel industry. Vanisha holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the European Business School, which equips her with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in her professional endeavors.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Vanisha Mittal Bhatia leads a fulfilling personal life. At 41 years old, she is married to Amit Bhatia, a prominent British-Indian businessman. Their union in 2004 was celebrated with opulence, as her father, Lakshmi Mittal, spared no expense, reportedly spending around 55 million dollars on their lavish wedding. Following their marriage, Vanisha’s influence expanded further as she was chosen to serve on the board of directors of LNM Holdings in June 2004.

Vanisha’s journey within Mittal Steel began in December 2004 when she was appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. Initially, she worked in the Procurement department, spearheading various initiatives, including the ‘total cost of ownership program’. Her dedication and contributions have been instrumental in shaping the company’s strategies and operations, reaffirming her position as a valuable asset within the Mittal Steel conglomerate.

In conclusion, Vanisha Mittal Bhatia exemplifies the seamless integration of family values and business acumen in the realm of corporate leadership. Through her roles in ArcelorMittal and Aperam, she continues to steer her family’s legacy towards greater heights of success. With her strategic foresight and dedication, Vanisha remains a driving force behind the Mittal Steel empire’s enduring prosperity.
