The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) has undeniably propelled us into the digital age, streamlining processes and reshaping various aspects of our lives. Now, it seems we’ve ventured into a realm where even traditional beauty pageants are evolving to embrace AI influencers.
The World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) is set to host the inaugural Miss AI influencer pageant, aptly dubbed “Miss AI,” with prizes totaling a substantial $20,000 (approximately Rs 16 lakh). The competition aims to celebrate creators who have leveraged AI to generate models or avatars and have established a significant presence on social media platforms.
Entries for the Miss AI beauty pageant opened on April 14, and participation is free of charge. However, there are specific eligibility criteria to ensure fair competition. Only creators above the age of 18, who have developed an AI model or avatar and possess an active social media presence, are eligible to participate.
Interestingly, there are no restrictions on the AI tools or generators used to create the avatars. Creators are welcome to utilize any AI tools, such as DeepAI or MidJourney, to craft their AI fashion models. However, it’s imperative that the models are exclusively generated by AI tools, with no inspiration drawn from existing human models. Originality and uniqueness in the appearance of the AI fashion models are paramount.
WAICA has outlined the criteria for evaluating contestants, which will encompass three main categories: beauty, tech proficiency, and social influence. A panel of four judges will assess participants based on these criteria, employing a point-based scoring system to determine the overall winner.
The judging panel comprises two AI-generated fashion models, Aitaana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini, along with two human judges, Andrew Bloch and Sally-Ann Fawcett. Aitaana Lopez boasts an impressive following of 300k on social media, while Emily Pellegrini represents the latest addition to the AI fashion model scene. Andrew Bloch brings his expertise as the Media founder at Entrepreneur Lord Sugar, while Sally-Ann Fawcett contributes her insights as a Beauty Pageant Historian and Author.
Prizes for the Miss AI pageant are substantial, with the first-place winner receiving $13,000 (approximately Rs 11 lakh). The second and third-place winners will be awarded $5,000 (Rs 4 lakh) and $2,000 (Rs 1.60 lakh), respectively, making for a total prize pool exceeding $20,000 (roughly Rs 16.72 lakh).
The Miss AI influencer pageant heralds a new era in the intersection of AI and beauty, offering creators a unique platform to showcase their talent and creativity in the digital landscape.
