In response to disruptions faced during the Covid-19 pandemic, Apple has bolstered its presence in India, establishing a substantial manufacturing base and expanding its retail footprint.
Last year, Apple made a notable move by inaugurating two physical stores in premium locations in New Delhi and Mumbai. A recent report by the Economic Times highlights the success of these Apple Stores in India, showcasing them as high-performing outlets compared to global standards. With each store reportedly generating revenues ranging from ₹190 to ₹210 crore in the previous fiscal year, they have exceeded Apple’s expectations.
Encouraged by this success, Apple is reportedly planning to open new stores in other premium locations across the country, including Pune, Bengaluru, and Noida. These stores are renowned for providing potential buyers with immersive experiences, personalized attention, and comprehensive explanations of Apple products.
The launch of Apple’s flagship stores in Mumbai and New Delhi, namely Apple BKC and Apple Saket, was marked by the presence of CEO Tim Cook himself in April 2024, underscoring the company’s commitment to the Indian market.
Furthermore, the ET report suggests that Apple may soon introduce its latest innovation, the Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, in India. Given the gadget’s intricate features and personalized user experience, an exclusive Apple Store environment would be ideal for its launch.
