Tresa Motors, a trailblazer in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, has recently unveiled its latest product, the V0.2. This second offering marks a significant leap forward from the brand’s inaugural model, showcasing Tresa’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
The V0.2 boasts an impressive array of features, including an 800V electric architecture propelled by a central computing unit. Tresa has spearheaded numerous advancements, such as advanced telemetry, in-house Battery Management System (BMS), and central steering, all developed in-house. These innovations underscore Tresa’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of EV technology.
Although the V0.2 is currently in the prototype stage and not yet available to customers, it represents a pivotal step towards a market-ready product slated for launch in 2026. Despite its prototype status, Tresa has already secured a substantial order for 1,000 electric trucks from JFK Transporters, highlighting the industry’s confidence in Tresa’s capabilities.
Setting itself apart from conventional EVs, Tresa has adopted a revolutionary approach to system integration. Instead of relying on numerous Electronic Control Units (ECUs) to manage individual subsystems, Tresa has implemented a zoning system controlled by a Nvidia GPU-driven CPU. This centralized control unit oversees more than 500 monitoring points across the truck, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
Rohan Shravan, CEO of Tresa Motors, expressed his enthusiasm for the V0.2, emphasizing its significance in Tresa’s pursuit of efficiency and innovation. He remarked, “Built on our ‘Delta-Engineering’ philosophy, V0.2 is a major internal release where we get to test and monitor all of our components on the road.” Shravan highlighted the company’s ambition to become the most efficient EV globally, with a focus on understanding power consumption at the sub-system level.
One of the standout features of the Tresa V0.2 truck is its central steering setup, complemented by an air-suspended seat for maximum driver comfort. The brand also offers customizable seat options, catering to individual preferences and needs. With an electric motor delivering a hub torque of 24,000Nm, the V0.2 can achieve a top speed of 120kmph. Additionally, its 300kWh battery pack supports fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in just 20 minutes, further enhancing its practicality and usability.
Tresa Motors’ unveiling of the V0.2 marks a significant milestone in the evolution of electric trucks, showcasing the brand’s ingenuity and commitment to pushing the boundaries of EV technology.
