The Dubai government has taken a significant step towards enhancing efficiency in its employment processes with the launch of the ‘Work Bundle’ digital platform. This innovative platform aims to dramatically reduce the processing time required to issue work permits for private sector employees from a month to just five days.
Previously, the process of obtaining work permits and residency visas in Dubai was time-consuming and involved submitting a comprehensive set of 16 documents. However, the introduction of the Work Bundle platform simplifies this procedure by cutting down the processing time and document requirements.
Now, applicants will only need to submit five documents, significantly reducing the paperwork involved. Moreover, the number of visits required to visa centers has been minimized from seven to just two days, ultimately saving applicants valuable time and effort.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed his vision for the Work Bundle platform to “facilitate, simplify and shorten the procedures for residency and work permits in the country.”
This initiative is poised to streamline the experience for both companies and individuals seeking employment opportunities in Dubai. By integrating key government entities such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the Department of Economy and Tourism, as well as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), the Work Bundle platform promises to revolutionize the employment process in Dubai.
With its focus on efficiency and user-friendliness, the Work Bundle platform represents a significant leap forward in Dubai’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for businesses and individuals alike.
