In an interview with ANI, Dolly shared his perspective on the encounter, expressing his initial unawareness of Gates’ identity. “I thought that he was a guy from a foreign country so I should serve him tea,” Dolly revealed. Recounting the interaction, he added, “We did not speak at all. He was standing just beside me, and I was busy with my work. After sipping on my tea, he (Bill Gates) said, ‘Wow, Dolly ki Chai.'”
When questioned about his unique attire, Dolly attributed it to his inspiration from South Indian movies, showcasing his penchant for creativity and individuality.
Expressing his aspirations, Dolly revealed his desire to serve tea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, signifying his ambition to elevate his humble tea stall to national recognition. “Today, I feel that I have become ‘Nagpur ka Dolly Chaiwala.’ In the future, I wish to serve tea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he stated.
Despite his newfound fame and aspirations, Dolly’s ultimate goal remains rooted in simplicity and joy. “I just want to sell tea to everybody with a smile all my life and receive all those smiles back,” he expressed gleefully.
