Aprilia has officially revealed the price for its highly anticipated mid-performance sports bike, the RS 457, at INR 4.10 lakhs (ex-Maharashtra). Enthusiasts eager to own this sports bike can secure their spot by pre-booking starting December 15, 2023, through the Aprilia India website or at Aprilia Motoplex Dealerships across India for a minimal fee of INR 10,000.
Anticipated to commence deliveries in March 2024, this exciting announcement was made by Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director of Piaggio, at the India Bike Week in Goa. The RS 457 marks its Indian debut, having undergone design and development at Aprilia’s headquarters in Italy, the same technical hub responsible for producing superbikes and MotoGP bikes.
Diego Graffi shared, “Performance luxury is at the core of Aprilia vehicles, all carrying the racing DNA. The introduction of the RS 457 heralds a new era for India’s sports bike category, positioning the mid-performance segment as the ideal entry point for serious sports biking. We believe the Indian mid-performance market is on the brink of a revolution, making significant strides in a cruiser-dominated market.”
Ajay Raghuvanshi, EVP 2 Wheeler Domestic Business at Piaggio Vehicles, added, “With the rapidly growing road infrastructure, the mid-performance segment for motorcycles has witnessed a remarkable surge in recent years. Motorcycles ranging from 250cc to 750cc experienced a 38% growth last fiscal year, more than doubling the overall two-wheeler category. The Aprilia RS 457 offers Indian consumers easy access to a world-class racing sports bike, promising an unparalleled riding experience. We are enthusiastic and prepared to provide customers with an exceptional product and service, in line with Aprilia’s standards.”
Aprilia’s commitment to excellence is evident in its application of technical innovations derived from racing to road sports bikes, ensuring riders experience the pinnacle of performance and riding pleasure. These bikes, infused with innovations inspired by Aprilia’s rich racing history, aim to captivate and contribute to the distinctive motorbike culture that defines the brand.
