India Today Group (ITG) and Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) have entered into a strategic partnership to introduce an innovative in-vehicle connectivity experience, offering users a hands-free way to stay informed on the go.

Through this collaboration, BGSW, a global leader in automotive technology and engineering services, is now providing live news to users of connected vehicles, such as Mahindra & Mahindra’s XUV700. Vehicle users can conveniently listen to the latest news and updates from the India Today news app while traveling. Although the news is currently accessible in audio format, BGSW envisions expanding the service to live TV programs when vehicles are equipped with additional screens beyond the dashboard.

Salil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of India Today Group Digital, expressed excitement about the groundbreaking alliance with BGSW, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a seamless and enriching experience to the audience, fostering innovation at home and on the move.

This technology collaboration aims to enhance the connected experience for end-users. Currently operational with Mahindra’s XUV700 and Scorpio-N, a similar experience is expected to extend to other BGSW customers in two-wheelers, passenger and commercial vehicles in both electric vehicle (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) segments. The ITG-BGSW partnership is set to span over a 10-year period.

BGSW had introduced connectivity solutions, including Telematics hardware and a connected vehicle platform, catering to all vehicle segments (passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, and two-wheelers) during 2019 and 2020. The company now aims to offer more than 250 features in line with its vision, ‘Invented for life.’

The India Today App is seamlessly integrated into the BGSW Connected Vehicle Solution/Platform, enhancing the overall in-car experience. Users can now conveniently stay informed while on the move through this hands-free solution, aligning with the vision of both ITG and BGSW to deliver innovative and enriching experiences to consumers.
