At the Tokyo Mobility Show, Suzuki recently unveiled the Swift Concept. Even though the Swift keeps its unique look, a new spy photo of the hatchback showed off its back end.
There is no escaping the Swift Concept. In comparison to the present model, the headlights and LED DRLs have a sharper design and a honeycomb-style front grille. The Swift Concept looks largely the same from the side, however the rear door handles are no longer nestled inside the C-pillar and are instead in their customary location. The Swift’s tailgate and light cluster are two of its modified rear features. Conversely, the test car was fully disguised, so while the bumper appears substantial, we can’t be positive about it.
A new 1.2-liter three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine from Suzuki was displayed at the Tokyo Mobility Show. It will take the place of the present 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 89 horsepower and 113 Nm. Although Suzuki has not yet disclosed the new engine’s specs, it is anticipated to have comparable power but greater fuel efficiency. The Japanese company also displayed a new CVT transmission and the hybrid version of the new 1.2-liter engine during the event. It will be fascinating to watch if India gets access to hybrid technology.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have not been formally declared by Maruti Suzuki for the Indian market, although a test model from earlier in the year suggested that it would be included. As per available reports, though not verified, might be a big selling feature.
The next-generation 2024 Swift was unveiled during the 2023 Japan Mobility Show and is scheduled to go on sale in 2024. It is expected to cost more than the existing model, which is priced at INR 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), but it is expected to have notable improvements.
