Explore the Unique Touch of iPhone 15 Series; Key Features You Need To Know
One of the most anticipated tech events of the year, tech giant Apple’s iPhone upgrades has created a huge buzz in the tech industry and among the new edition of iPhone grabbers. With the Internet’s information faucet, the tech world had a fair idea of what to expect in the new series.
Post the launch, if you haven’t come across with the brand new Apple’s features, here you can explore some of the highlighted features that makes you feel excited to set up, configure and use.
Action Button
Apple has finally decided to leave its more than a decade old ring/vibrate switch with a new ‘Action Button’. The iPhone 15 Pro introduces an Action Button that enables you to personalise it to launch your favourite apps, snap selfies, record voices, or run shortcuts. The Action Button switches the iPhone between ‘ring and vibrate’ by default, which is vital since it has replaced the ring / vibrate switch that Apple has included on the iPhone since its debut in 2007. Swiping through the various settings of the Action Button process, it can also be used to put the phone on DND otherwise Focus Mode.
Camera Upgradation
Apple’s camera quality has always been the talk of the town. The company usually claims that the camera system on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the equivalent of having “7 camera lenses in your pocket.” The default main camera on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max is the 24mm lens, which is equivalent to 1x zoom. If you open your main camera, your camera will start at whatever new focal length you choose, whether it’s 1.2x or 1.5x. You can shoot eye-catchy macro shots and ultra-wide landscapes, but the biggest upgrade is the 5x zoom support with the new periscope lens. The company prefers a between image quality and a practical file size (for storing and sharing) with a new 24MP super-high-resolution default size, that’s said to be an industry first.
Tetraprism Camera
The competition among smartphones and the major comparison happening among them is mostly based on Camera quality. In each successive generation of flagships, we see more complex camera designs that use multiple sensors and lenses to bring a wide range of creative and compelling features to the fore. In this scenario, iPhone 15 comes up with the first periscope lens ever found on an iPhone. A periscope lens allows a smartphone to offer an optical zoom range that could not be possible without seeing protruding lenses on the outside of a phone. Instead, a prism placed at a 90-degree angle to the optical axis is placed inside the phone at the end of a tube that is aligned along the length or width of the phone.
USB-C Charger
Another most awaited change for iPhones is the USB-C charging. Finally letting off its Lightning cable, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus both have a USB-C port now, but the two models support the same USB 2.0 speeds as prior iPhone models with a Lightning port, which is 480 megabits per second. The new facility reduces the burden of carrying multiple chargers for your electronic device.
Diamond Island Cut Out
Another visible difference includes the dynamic island cut-out for the front-facing camera and Face ID, earlier introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models in 2022. The Diamond Island allows the iPhone user to track their ride, see who is calling, check their flight, and so much more, according to Apple’s official website.
The A17 Pro Chip
The A17 Pro is an updated system-on-chip that first made its way into the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max in 2023. The Apple A17 Pro is is a 64-bit ARM-based system on a chip (SoC) designed by Apple Inc. and manufactured by TSMC. It is used in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models only. It’s the first 3nm chip utilized in an iPhone.
Titanium Design
To meet its carbon-neutrality goals by 2030, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have introduced a strong and lightweight titanium design — a first for iPhone, which is available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes. This premium alloy — the same used in spacecraft — is said to be one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any metal, making this Apple’s lightest Pro lineup ever.
The iPhone 15 Pro starts at a price of INR 1,34,900 for the 128GB model and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at INR 1,59,900 for the 256 GB model.
