India has unveiled its pioneering long-range revolver, named ‘Prabal,’ manufactured by the state-owned enterprise Advanced Weapons and Equipment India (AWEIL). The revolver, set to be launched today, stands out for its extended firing range and modern design, positioning it as a significant addition to India’s armament capabilities.
Enhanced Firing Range and Features
Developed by AWEIL, the Prabal revolver breaks new ground with its firing range of up to 50 meters, effectively doubling the reach of conventional revolvers. AWEIL Director, AK Maurya, described the Prabal revolver as lightweight, equipped with a side swing cylinder, and featuring an easy trigger pull mechanism. The design is reminiscent of the Webley Scott revolver, a classic firearm design known for its reliability.

The Prabal revolver weighs a mere 700 grams (excluding cartridges) and boasts a barrel length of 76 mm. Its overall length measures 177.6 mm.
